Elevating Your Brand
In the competitive world of advertising, visibility is everything. Wrapping a building in a massive promotional banner or installing a high-altitude illuminated sign guarantees your message is seen by thousands every day. However, getting these massive, heavy materials up onto the side of a skyscraper is a monumental logistical challenge.
The Rope Access Solution
Traditional methods like cranes or suspended platforms (cradles) are often impractical for large-scale installations. They are expensive, require street closures, and can't always navigate complex building geometry.
Industrial alpinism is the ideal solution for signage installation:
- Flexibility: Technicians can position themselves exactly where the anchor points need to be drilled, regardless of the facade's shape.
- Speed: A team can rig up, complete the installation, and dismantle their ropes in a fraction of the time it takes to mobilize heavy machinery.
- Cost-Effective: Minimizing equipment rental and eliminating the need for traffic management significantly reduces the project's overall cost.
The Installation Process
Installing a mega-banner is a carefully choreographed operation.
- Survey and Anchoring: We first survey the facade to identify structural load-bearing points. Stainless steel eye bolts are securely drilled and epoxied into the concrete or steel framework.
- Lifting: The banner (which can weigh hundreds of kilograms and act like a massive sail) is hoisted using specialized hauling systems and winches.
- Tensioning: The banner is attached to the anchor points using steel wire ropes and turnbuckles. Proper tensioning is crucial to prevent the material from tearing in high winds and to ensure a smooth, professional appearance.
Safety First
Working with large surface areas at height introduces significant wind hazards. Operations are strictly monitored and only proceed within safe weather windows. Our teams are trained to handle unexpected gusts and secure materials immediately.
