The Grime of the City
Urban pollution is sticky. Exhaust fumes mixed with dust create a dark, oily film on buildings that rain cannot wash away. Over time, this makes even the brightest building look drab and neglected.
The Solution: High-Pressure Washing
We use industrial-grade pressure washers capable of delivering water at varying pressures and temperatures.
- Cold Water: Great for loose dirt and mud.
- Hot Water / Steam: Essential for oily deposits and chewing gum removal.
- Soft Wash: Using specialized chemicals and low pressure for delicate surfaces like render (Dryvit) that high pressure would damage.
Challenges at Height
Managing a high-pressure lance while hanging on a rope requires skill and strength.
- Recoil: The lance pushes back hard.
- Water Management: We have to manage long, heavy water hoses hanging down the side of the building.
- Public Safety: We often work at night or cordon off large areas to prevent overspray from hitting pedestrians.
The result is often dramatic – a building that looks freshly painted, just from a good wash.
